The College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) prepares you to become a leader in sustainable agriculture, food systems, environmental sciences and experience management. Our Learn by Doing philosophy brings you into the farms, ranchlands, orchards, vineyards, forests, research labs, and production and processing facilities where you’ll build expertise in your future career. Our small class sizes and strong student-faculty relationships provide opportunities for mentorship and contribute to the success of our students. CAFES graduates are in high demand by employers, and our students go on to careers in agribusiness leadership, teaching, veterinary medicine, engineering, health-related professions, food product research and development, sustainability and environmental stewardship, event management, recreation and tourism management, wine production, and more.
